Hi, I’m Joachim Jensen – a designer of furniture, lover of architecture, and creator of sculpture. However, the focal point of my work is developing collections of seating, strategic research, ergonomics, and prototyping.
Born and raised in Oslo, Norway, I moved to the U.S. to study industrial design. Since then, I have made Grand Rapids, Michigan my home. With my Scandinavian heritage, European style and American influences, I create simple, clean, and honest furniture for the modern global market. My inspiration is born out of uncovering balance and harmony within contrast.
My studio resides in a former elementary school that my wife and I converted into our home, offices, and studio. It is a space that nurtures inspired work and good living. When not in my studio, you’ll find me skiing, cooking, or traveling to recharge and find inspiration.
Welcome – I invite you to view my work, click here.
